Care-A-Lot Learning Center Care-a-Lot Learning Center was founded in 1985 by Julie Schmerge. In 2026, Julie retired and Amanda Schneider took over as owner/administrator.

We offer fun and educational Preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 3-5 years.

⭐️ Meet Ms. Alison ⭐️

Ms. Alison is joining us this year at Care A Lot. We are very excited to have her joyful personality in our school everyday! Alison will be helping out in all of our classrooms with whatever we need do for the day, along with subbing.

Ms. Alison enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and drinking coffee. Alison and her husband have 3 girls of their own and live in St.Marys. They love going to the zoo and on adventures as a family.

We are very blessed to have Alison join us this year. Please give her a warm welcome! 💜

🙏 As a new school year begins, let’s cover our schools in prayer.

As parents get their children ready, teachers prepare their classrooms, and school doors open once again, let’s pause and ask the LORD to go before every student, teacher, staff member, and family.

🙏 Pray for protection over every school and every child.
🙏 Pray for wisdom and strength for teachers and staff.
🙏 Pray for peace, confidence, and courage for students.
🙏 Pray for friendships and positive influences that encourage and uplift.
🙏 Pray for God’s presence to fill our schools and guide every decision made throughout the year.

May we trust that the LORD is already there.... going before our children, walking beside them, and watching over them each day.

“The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” -Psalm 121:8 🤍

Lord, go before our schools. Protect our students and teachers. Give wisdom to those who lead, peace to those who are anxious, strength to those who are weary, and let Your presence be known throughout every classroom and hallway.

Let’s begin this school year on our knees, trusting the One who goes before us. 🙏📚🍎

⭐️ Meet Ms. J ⭐️

Ms. J (Julie), has been with Care A Lot for almost 10 years. We are so thankful she chose to stick with us as we switched owners because I’m not sure what I would do without her. Ms. J teaches the 3/4 year olds class. She loves to work with the littles.

Ms. J lives in Minster with her husband Scott and daughter Makaylee, who is going to be a senior this year. As you can see in the picture , they also enjoy going to the fair as a family. They show goats and also raise goats through the year. In Ms. J’s down time you will find her taking walks, drinking ice coffee, and cooking delicious food.

Ms. J is ready to get this school year started and meet all of the new smiling faces. 💙

⭐️ Meet Ms. Annie ⭐️

Ms. Annie has been with us for the past couple of years. This upcoming school year she will be teaching the 4/5 year olds 2 day a week class. We are very excited to have her back teaching this school year!

Ms. Annie lives between Botkins and Wapakoneta with her amazing family. This summer they spent a week at the Auglaize County Fair where her children showed everything from chickens to ducks to pigs. To say they love animals at their house is an understatement!!

In her free time you can catch Ms. Annie sitting on their front porch enjoying a cup of coffee. She always enjoys taking walks in their woods with her children.

Ms. Annie is very excited to get back into the classroom and seeing all the of the children again. 💜

⭐️ Meet Ms. Amanda ⭐️

This year Ms. Amanda is stepping into the director/owner of Care A Lot position. She is very excited to continue the Care A Lot tradition and meet so many new faces along the way.

Ms. Amanda graduated college from Bowling Green State University, where she received a degree in early childhood education along with special education.

In her free time, Ms. Amanda loves to play with her own three kids, especially checking out all of the local parks. She loves to garden and can fruits and vegetables from their garden. You can also catch her reading a lot during the summer months outside on their front porch.

She can’t wait to see all of the preschoolers smiling faces again! ❤️❤️
