Sunita, WMS Head of School, had the honor of hosting NWAIS Pathways to Leadership at our Bothell Campus on August 6. It was a day of connection, learning, and growth with Woodinville Montessori School and other local independent school leaders.

Pathways to Leadership is a NWAIS cohort-based program to support women in their choice to pursue headship. Over two years, the program supports and develops senior leaders who are interested in becoming a Head of School in the next 3-5 years.

Our Woodinville Campus has a refreshed new look, creating an even more welcoming space for our community! ☀️🏫✨

As June 2026 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate all that our students have accomplished. From academic achievements and creative projects to athletic successes and personal growth, it's been a year full of learning, discovery, and milestones worth celebrating.

Students built friendships, strengthened relationships with teachers and staff, and created memories that will last for years to come. Seeing our community come together to support one another has been one of the highlights of the year.

The fun continued right through the final weeks of school as our Middle and High School students embarked on their end-of-year trips. These experiences provided opportunities for adventure, exploration, teamwork, and hands-on learning beyond the classroom. Whether discovering new places, challenging themselves with new activities, or simply enjoying time together with classmates and teachers, students returned with lasting memories and stories to share.

We proudly celebrated several special traditions, including Island Night, Field Day, our Moving Up Ceremonies and the beloved Crossing the Bridge event, where students marked exciting transitions to the next stage of their educational journey. We also honored our graduating seniors at Commencement, celebrating their hard work, perseverance, and all they have achieved during their time with us.

We also celebrated two incredible staff milestones this month. After 20 years at WMS, Nancy Kestek, and 18 years at WMS, Wendy Coulombe, officially "crossed the bridge" into retirement. Their dedication, impact, and lasting contributions have truly shaped our community, and they will be deeply missed.

Thank you to our students, families, faculty, and staff for making this year such a success. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and time with loved ones. We can't wait to see what the next school year brings!

One week ago, WMS gathered to honor a special student milestone 🤍

Following a beautiful Closing Ceremony led by our third-year students, Kindergartners, 3rd, 6th, and 8th graders crossed the bridge, signifying their transition to the next program level (sometimes with a celebratory backflip!). Our seniors also made their final walk across the bridge! 🎓✨
