Your NSEA bargaining team is still hard at work fighting for the fair contract our members deserve!!

BARGAINING UPDATE

At 11:00 a.m. this morning, NSEA President Lauren Dandridge and Certificated Vice President Talia Rich stood in solidarity as they rejoined the rest of the bargaining team at the table with Northshore School District administration.

Meanwhile, Education Support Professional Vice President Ric Calhoun has stepped away from the bargaining team to begin organizing, energizing, and, if necessary, mobilizing NSEA members should the district continue to ignore what our union has been saying all along:

Every member matters.

The educators who work most closely with students deserve fair pay. Our schools deserve proper librarian staffing. Employees working in our most overloaded classrooms deserve the support, recognition, and compensation that reflects the critical work they do every day.

NSEA remains united and committed to securing a contract that respects all educators and the essential role they play in supporting student success.

When we stand together, we are stronger together.

📢 Bargaining Update

NSEA President Lauren Dandridge rallied the bargaining team today as we prepared to head back to the table with Northshore School District administration.

After spending the last three days at the table we remain far apart on reaching a tentative agreement, we have made some movement, and we remain hopeful that the district will recognize what our members know every day: our work matters.

The educators and education support professionals of Northshore are the foundation of student success. They deserve fair wages, meaningful support, and the resources needed to ensure every student gets what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

We are committed to continuing the work, advocating for our members, and fighting for a contract that reflects the value they bring to our schools and community every single day.

Following a long day in bargaining prep yesterday and another one at the table ahead today, the bargaining team got a well-earned 9:00 a.m. start this morning. We are looking forward to meeting with Northshore School District administration at 11:00 a.m. as we continue advocating for a fair contract and standing firmly against the unacceptable contractual takeaways the district has put on the table.

Today, your NSEA bargaining team put in a long day, spending 11 hours at the WEA-Cascade UniServ Council office reviewing NSD proposals and developing counterproposals aimed at securing the fair contract our members deserve.

These discussions take preparation, persistence, and a team committed to fighting for our members every step of the way.

We'll be back at the bargaining table with NSD tomorrow and will continue pushing forward.
