Our preschoolers practiced letter recognition by searching for and covering all the letter O’s on their October worksheets using dot stickers. This fun hands on activity helped children strengthen their fine motor skills, develop visual scanning skills, and build early literacy foundations.
As they carefully identified each letter and placed their stickers, the children worked on concentration, hand eye coordination, and following directions. Learning letters through play makes early reading skills both engaging and fun!

Our little learners had fun matching colorful pom poms and counters to the circles on their themed mats! Children used their fingers and tools to carefully pick up and place each piece, strengthening fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, color recognition, and concentration.
Activities like these support early math concepts, encourage problem-solving, and help develop the small muscles needed for future writing skills. Most importantly, the children enjoyed exploring, creating, and learning through play together!

🌱❤️ DAYCARE OR HOME? WHAT DOES SCIENCE REALLY SAY? 🧠✨

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, explore, learn, and reach their full potential. 💕

After more than 12 years of caring for and educating young children, we’ve had the privilege of watching hundreds of little milestones turn into remarkable achievements. From first words and first steps to friendships, independence, confidence, and creativity, every stage of childhood is truly special. 🌈

Through our academic education and hands-on experience, we’ve observed how early social interaction, meaningful play, loving relationships, and consistent routines can positively influence a child’s development.

And research supports something we strongly believe:

✨ Quality early childhood education can make a meaningful difference in a child's life.

But this isn't about saying daycare is always better than home. It's about understanding how the quality of care, emotional connections, learning opportunities, and environment shape a child's development.

We created these 10 slides to share both scientific findings from respected research institutions and what we’ve learned through our years of experience.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful families who have trusted us with their most precious gifts—their children. Your trust, support, and partnership have been an essential part of our journey. ❤️

We hope this information helps parents make confident, informed decisions about their children's early years.

💬 Parents, we'd love to hear from you! Have you noticed changes in your child's confidence, communication, independence, or social skills after starting daycare?

👇 Share your experience in the comments!

📌 Save this post and share it with parents who might find it helpful.

With love and appreciation,
Maryam Amini ❤️

🤧 Sick days are hard, but they’re important!

We know it can be tough to keep your little one home, especially when you have work, plans, and a million things to juggle. But when a child is sick, home is the best place for them to rest, recover, and keep those around them healthy. ❤️

In a daycare setting, germs can spread quickly because our little ones share toys, spaces, and lots of hugs! Keeping sick kiddos home helps protect their friends, teachers, babies, and other families, too. 🫶

Thank you for helping us keep our Pumpkin Patch family healthy and happy this season! 🍂🎃

Last week, our little learners experienced apples from tree to table!
The children picked fresh apples from our own apple tree, explored their colors, shapes, textures, and smells, and then helped prepare them. Using child safe knives, they practiced carefully cutting the apples a fun hands on activity that supports fine motor skills, coordination, independence, and confidence.
Then came the best part: we turned our freshly picked apples into homemade applesauce!

Last week, our little learners explored all things apples through fun, hands on activities designed for different ages and developmental stages.
From sensory play and art to colors, counting, fine motor activities, and exploring real apples, every activity gave our children a chance to learn through play, touch, creativity, and discovery.
At Audrian Home child care, we believe even the simplest theme can become a wonderful learning experience when activities are adapted to each child’s age and abilities.
