Wednesday was pure ✨ joy ✨ celebrating our Class of 2026! 🎓 This class has truly embraced, embodied, and modeled Boston Collegiate's Core Values and led our school with grace, drive, and collaboration this year. We will miss them next year, but they are off on amazing adventures, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to a deep-sea welding program, and we can't wait to watch them soar!
Congratulations, scholars! Thank you for showing us all how to this year 💕
And, special shout-out to our 5th graders for visiting our Upper School to cheer on our seniors during the senior sendoff!

As the school year winds down, we want to give a big round of applause to this year's Restoriative Justcie Leaders! 👏🏻
Student Restorative Justice Leaders are trained to help carry out restorative justice practices on the ground at Boston Collegiate. Leaders shape school culture, mediate difficult conversations between students and staff, and provide a student perspective in adult spaces, like Staff Orientation and grade-level meetings. They have improved our student body's understanding of restorative justice by modeling healthy conflict resolution and leadership, and staff have expressed feeling more supported when they are around.
We celebrated this year's Middle and High School RJ Leaders with a lovely breakfast where everyone reflected on the year and honored our graduating seniors. 💕

In honor of the crossing the stage later this week, we're highlighting alumna Lizzy Smith, Class of 2006, who is celebrating 20 years since she herself earned her Boston Collegiate degree! 🎓
After Boston Collegiate, Lizzy headed to UMass Amherst, where she majored in Marketing, minored in Sociology, played intramural sports, and built a lifelong circle of friends.
Today, Lizzy is a powerhouse in the tech world, working as an Account Director at Presidio, where she manages technology sales in the Professional Services space for regulated gaming clients. 💻✨ She also serves on the Boston Collegiate Board of Trustees, which she says, "has been one of the most fulfilling and meaningful commitments I’ve taken on over the past few years."
Lizzy's advice to Boston Collegiate grads as they take on their next steps: “There are few schools with teachers and staff who care so deeply about their students and who work so intentionally to pave a path to success—often beyond what you may realize you’re capable of achieving. When you reach that point, I hope you’ll do one thing: give back to the school and community when you can... every effort makes a difference.”
Thank you, Lizzy, for your incredible leadership and dedication to the Boston Collegiate community! 💙

Recently, through Boston Collegiate's Fund for Teaching Excellence, Ms. Townsend's class hosted Sashi James (Justice As Healing) in English 10 to speak with students! 🎤
Sashi is an organizer who supports women and girls who are incarcerated. Her visit was part of the class' Project-Based Learning unit where they researched the prison system, politics, and corporations. It was enlightening to hear about Sashi's investment in her community and the experiences that have informed her values.
Thank you, Sashi, for sharing your story with our students, and to Ms. Townsend for organizing such an impactful visit!

Meet Jake Bombard, Boston Collegiate Class of 2005! 🎓
Jake’s journey since graduating has been nothing short of inspiring. After his time at Boston Collegiate, he headed to William & Mary in Virginia, where he majored in English Literature and stayed heavily involved in the Student Government Association.
Jake spent years making an impact in local government and politics, including serving as Chief of Staff in the Massachusetts State Senate, before discovering his passion for nonprofit work. In his free time, Jake prioritizes giving back to the community as a certified CPR/AED Instructor, volunteering with the city's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), volunteering with Friends of Boston's Homeless, and serving on Boston Collegiate's Board of Trustees!
When asked about a Boston Collegiate teacher who made an impact: "Ms. Veeder all the way! Ms. Veeder did everything she could to make sure we all found a love for reading. She would give me individualized recommendations for books... She also gave some of us all the permission we needed to be absolute nerds. I still have the mug I got from when she took us to the New England Scrabble Championships. Thanks, Ms. Veeder!" 🍎
Thank YOU, Jake, for your incredible leadership and dedication to service in Boston and beyond!

Meet Mirayah, Boston Collegiate Class of 2011! 🎓
Mirayah’s path after Boston Collegiate proves that life doesn't always have to follow a straight line to lead to amazing things. After starting her college journey at Bridgewater State University, she graduated from Endicott College with a degree in Communications.
Today, Mirayah is doing incredible work in the non-profit sector as the Director of Business Development and Partnerships at , an organization dedicated to helping low- and moderate-income families build wealth and financial stability.
We caught up with Mirayah to hear about her journey, her favorite Boston Collegiate memories, and her advice for current students: “It’s okay if things don’t go as planned! Just keep going. Leaving Boston Collegiate, I was so hard on myself to just follow the plan that when it wasn’t going accordingly, I felt like I was failing. Nonetheless, 'not following the plan' led me to a lot of opportunities, growth, and, ultimately, exactly where I wanted to be personally and professionally." 💼✨
Thank you for sharing your story and continuing to improve our community, Mirayah! 💙

👀🔎 Spotted: High School students back at our Lower School?! Earlier this month, our students in the Lower School had the opportunity to learn more about the college decision process from our current seniors! 🤗
Our Director of College Programming, Mr. George, along with a group of seniors shared their future plans and the why behind their choices with our youngest students. The biggest takeaway: There is no right college, just the one that is right for you!
👉🏻 Swipe to see some highlights from the event! Thank you to Mr. George and our amazing soon-to-be-graduates for making this happen! ✨

Teacher appreciation week may have ended, but we will never stop raving about the positive impact that our teachers have on our students!
One of the best parts about the Boston Collegiate community are the relationships that last long after a student leaves a teacher's classroom. Seeing Xaviana and Ms. Downes recreate their photo from 2019 is a reminder that when students feel valued and seen by teachers, those bonds can shape confidence, growth, and memories that last a lifetime. 💙
👉🏻 Swipe for the original photo of the two from 2019's "dress like a teacher" day!
