Preschoolers recently had a very special guest visit, local author Noah Sorin! Noah read his book Benjy the Treehopper that taught students why trees are so essential to our environment, and some steps we can take to prevent deforestation. Preschoolers connected the themes in the book to their learning about different animal habitats around the world.

Second graders brought the story Everything Naomi Loved to life through a special cross-curricular art and ELA experience! Inspired by Naomi’s love of art and self-expression, students collaborated to create a large-scale mural in the snow. Using liquid watercolors in spray bottles and recycled water bottles, they explored color, layering, movement, and teamwork while transforming the snowy ground into a vibrant, joyful masterpiece.

✨ Croft Educator Spotlight: Featuring Ms. Janel✨

“At Croft, teachers are trusted as professionals and encouraged to bring pieces of their own passions, experiences, and creativity into daily lessons, making learning more meaningful and engaging for students. They are given a strong level of autonomy and flexibility to thoughtfully maneuver the schedule when needed, ensuring instruction remains responsive to student needs rather than rigidly fixed. Families are active partners in the school community - eager to volunteer, participate, and support learning. Our feedback is genuinely valued, and the school takes time to reflect on input in order to continuously grow and improve.” - Ms. Janel, Grade 1 Lead Teacher
