Our research focuses on how infants and children use their working memory to create units that are most meaningful to us as humans: namely, inanimate objects and animate agents. Developing Minds Lab At the Developing Minds Lab, you and your child can be scientists for the day and teach us how babie
Come Visit Us! We are now welcoming families back into the lab! We have health and safety protocols in place to keep everyone safe (masks, vaccines, and air purifiers). We are currently running in-person studies for children ages 2 and up.
Participate Online! We are also conducting studies online via Zoom for infants and children ages 5 months and up. Participate with us from the comfort of your home!

The Developing Minds Lab at BU is currently looking for babies ages 5-7 months to participate in a fun online study exploring babies' memory for hidden objects. In a series of short videos we will show babies some objects, hide them from view, and then measure if they remembered them or not! Families will receive a $10 Amazon gift card for their participation.

Calling all 4-8 year olds! Can you help Gator and Cheetah find their Magic Cups? The Developing Minds Lab at BU is currently looking for little scientists to help us learn about how children understand numbers and how their memory develops to support the numerical reasoning! The study takes 30 minutes and is done over video chat from your home computer or tablet.
