Tenacity and Year Up United Boston Alumni are excited to share an upcoming volunteer opportunity taking place on Tuesday, June 23rd from 3:30–5:30 PM at Moakley Park.

We invite you to join us for a community clean-up day focused on giving back, building community connections, and supporting a shared commitment to service.

This event also supports the USTA Foundation’s Realize the Dream pledge, a nationwide initiative inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. The campaign aims to reach 100 million volunteer service hours by Dr. King’s 100th birthday in 2029.

We encourage everyone to participate and welcome you to share this opportunity with friends, family, and colleagues who may be interested in volunteering alongside us.

This Summer Kickoff event is an opportunity for alumni, supporters, and friends of the Year Up United community to come together, reconnect, and build stronger relationships across our Boston network.

Whether you are a recent graduate or a longtime alumnus, this gathering is designed to celebrate our shared journey, strengthen alumni engagement, and create new opportunities for collaboration.

Expect great conversations, networking, summer vibes, and a chance to learn more about upcoming alumni initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and events planned for the season.

Come join us June 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at 45 Milk St. downtown Boston for the national week of service this year. We are putting together non-perishable food care packages in conjunction with restoration city Church in Roxbury. Other Alumni will be partaking in other projects across the state to provide folks on Mass and Kas some hope! Link for all our projects are in our Bio

We hit the ground running today for 58th Annual Walk for Hunger!

Team YUUBA (Year Up United Boston Alumni) and friends, led by Vice Chair Chris Vargas, laced up, stepped out, and made every mile count.

It’s a beautiful thing when we come together, walking for a cause that’s bigger than all of us. Let’s keep the momentum going!

We’re coming together to assemble 100+ Blessings Care Kits for our brothers and sisters at Mass & Cass in Boston — a community deeply impacted by homelessness and substance use. These kits provide essential hygiene items while restoring dignity, care, and human connection.

Join the Year Up United Boston Alumni Board for “Plate It Forward” — a powerful evening of community service in Chelsea, MA during National Week of Service.

We’re partnering with Saint Luke’s–San Lucas Episcopal Church to support a predominantly LatinX community by stocking their pantry with culturally familiar foods and prepping fresh meals for over 400+ neighbors.

In Your Corner: Men’s Health Night

Staying healthy isn’t about going solo—it’s about training smart, staying on top of preventive care, and having the right people in your corner. Join Boston Medical Center Health System as we bring together healthcare leaders and community advocates to share clear, trusted medical information about men’s health. We’ll cover mental health, heart health, prostate health, and other key men’s health issues—emphasizing prevention, routine checkups, and access to care.

The evening will include an informative panel discussion about men’s health and
interactive activities and resource tables about specific men’s health issues.
