Wentworth students spent two days in Watson Auditorium meeting employers at our Fall Co-op Recruiting Days. Wednesday focused on Engineering & IT, and today is The Built Environment Day. Companies are hiring for Spring and Summer 2027 co-ops.

Last week, tunnel boring officially began on the Hudson Tunnel Project, the first new rail tunnel under the Hudson River in more than a century. Our Construction Management Club got an early look.

This summer, CM Club students toured the site and watched one of the project's massive tunnel boring machines being assembled on the New Jersey side. Each one weighs more than 1,680 tons, with a cutterhead nearly 29 feet across.

Thank you to John Dalton of STV for hosting, and to Matt Poirier '92, senior vice president at Keville Enterprises and a Wentworth CM adjunct professor, for making the connection.

October is Careers in Construction Month, and this is what it looks like at Wentworth: students on site at one of the most important infrastructure projects in the country.

Felipe Pinto '25 grew up on sports drinks. Then a knee injury and a conversation with his trainer made him take a closer look at what was in them.

So he made his own. Elite Hydration started with a question to a Wentworth professor: "Where do I find someone that'll help me make a drink?" It took shape through the Accelerate Co-op for Entrepreneurs, where Felipe was paid to work on his company full time. This fall, it hits the market, starting right here on campus.

Know a high school sophomore or junior who likes to code? Wentworth is hosting CODEClash on Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to noon on our Boston campus. It's free, and there is still room to sign up.

Students will take on real-world programming challenges, meet Wentworth faculty, and compete for prizes. The top three finishers can win a new gaming device, a scholarship to ImpactLab, Wentworth's pre-college program, and more.

CODEClash is part of the Wentworth STEM Challenge, which also includes MATHQuest on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to noon. Same format, same prizes, with math challenges in place of code.

A parent or guardian needs to complete the registration with the student.

New to the area or just looking to explore Boston? We're excited to introduce "Off the Green Line," a student-created video series! The Green Line is incredibly accessible from the MFA stop right in front of our campus, making the whole city your backyard.

In the first installment, Mechanical Engineering '28 student Katherine Duque Maquiz heads to the Arlington stop. From there, you can easily walk to Newbury Street, the Boston Common, and Downtown Crossing.

From first boat to the Head of the Charles!

In fall 2024, Wentworth Club Rowing launched its first-ever women's boat, and those rowers won gold in their very first race. Four of them had never touched an oar before college.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, that crew races in one of the biggest regattas in the world, right here on the Charles River. Their event starts at 1:59 p.m. Head down to the banks and cheer them on. Look for the black blades with the red-and-gold stripe!

More accolades are rolling in for Wentworth!

We've been named to Money magazine's Best Colleges in America list, which recognizes schools that deliver strong value for students and families. According to Money's data, financial aid cuts the cost of a Wentworth education nearly in half.

Our Master of Science in Data Science was also named to Research.com's 2027 Best Data Science Degree Programs ranking.

Architecture & AI: Research, Education, Practice

Join Wentworth's School of Architecture & Design and School of Computing & Data Science on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Blount Auditorium for a Boston AI Week look at how AI is showing up in architectural education, research and practice.

The afternoon opens with a keynote from Marcelo Coelho, director of the MIT Design Intelligence Lab, followed by quick-fire PechaKucha talks from Wentworth faculty, alumni and industry leaders, a roundtable conversation with audience Q&A, and a reception to meet the presenters.

As part of Boston AI Week, Wentworth's School of Computing & Data Science is opening the Wentworth AI Test Kitchen on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the CEIS lobby. Try out AI tools developed at Wentworth, see what's happening behind the answers they give, and learn how quantum computing could shape the future of machine learning.

Interactive demos, guided rotations and networking, featuring Leonidas Deligiannidis, Yetunde Longe-Folajimi and Salem Othman.
