Allison Miller, this year’s Ken Pullig Visiting Scholar, shared her music and wisdom with the Berklee Community in a masterclass and student ensemble recital.

John Fedchock and Jennifer Wharton at the Berklee Jazz Composition Festival 📸 🎶

We had the privilege of hosting these two modern legends of the trombone at this years Festival. They hosted an insightful masterclass on all things trombone and professional music, and graced the stage for a swinging set with the JCWO!

This appearance of XO Artist Jennifer Wharton has been made possible, in part, through an educational grant from the KHS America Academic Alliance and XO Brass. Jennifer performs exclusively on XO Brass trombones.

The Jazz Composers’ Workshop Orchestra featuring John Fedchock and Jennifer Wharton!

John Fedchock and Jennifer Wharton, two modern titans of the trombone, will join Berklee’s renowned Jazz Composers’ Workshop Orchestra, to premiere numerous student compositions, as well as one of Jennifer’s pieces.

Allison Miller, the Ken Pullig Visiting Scholar for the Harmony and Jazz Composition Department, brings her group Boom Tic Boom to Berklee’s Jazz Composition Festival. The ensemble features Caroline Davis, Jason Palmer, Shamie Royston, Patricia Brennan, Rashaan Carter, and Miller herself.
