Teach For America’s Brave Education Summits bring together community members to help create more LGBTQ+ inclusive classrooms. During one of this year’s events, Northeastern alumni Jenie Michael and Olivia Giorlandino, Communication Studies, presented on the topic of gender bias in the classroom. Their presentation, which was based on their undergraduate capstone project, analyzed and explained the issues of gendered communication in educational settings.
