🍻 Oktoberfest at GISB! 🇩🇪

What a celebration! Our GISB community came together for an afternoon of German food, music, drinks, games, and plenty of time spent catching up with friends and family. We loved seeing everyone in their Trachten!

We were also honored to welcome the German Consulate General in Boston and other esteemed guests for a special reception celebrating 25 years of the German International School of Boston 🎉

And as if the day couldn’t end any better, we were treated to a beautiful sunset and rainbow over campus🌈🌅

Thank you to Grade 12 for the yummy waffles and face painting! Look for them at future events as they continue to fundraise for their graduation festivities 🎓🎨

And another big thank you to the GISB Parent Council, our Facilities Team, volunteers, staff, students, and everyone who helped make the celebration such a memorable one! 💙🍻

Spot the scientists! 🧪
Class 6 was in the lab yesterday working on solubility experiments. Loved seeing their focus and curiosity as they ran their tests. Looking good in the lab, Class 6! 🥽

Stronger together! 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇩🇪

Last week, leaders from seven German International Schools across North America gathered at the German International School Montreal for the annual regional network meeting.

It was a powerful time of alignment, strategic planning, and practical exchange alongside representatives from the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA). Highlights included targeted leadership presentations from: Carsten Apsel (Heads of School); Tina Haarbusch (Business Directors); and Shamala Hinrichsen (School Boards).

Events like this remind us of the strength of our network. By bringing together diverse perspectives, sharing common challenges, and leveraging our collective expertise, we continue to elevate German international education across the region.

A special thank you to our GISB delegation for representing our community in Montreal:
👏 Philipp Kraft (Head of School)
👏 Damian Uebelhoer (Board Representative)
👏 Tina Haarbusch (Head of Administration)

We can’t wait to implement the key insights and fresh ideas brought back from this gathering! 💡

Still smiling about last week’s Einschulungsfeier! 🎒✨

We officially welcomed our new first graders to GISB with one of our favorite German traditions. From showing off their incredible, handcrafted Schultüten to meeting their new teachers and classmates, our scholars started their bilingual journey in the best way possible. 🇩🇪🇺🇸

A big thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable. Here’s to an amazing first grade year ahead! 💙
