Celebrating International Day of People with Disabilities!

Slide 1: International Day of People with Disabilities - December 3.

Slide 2: What is International Day of People with Disabilities? International Day of People with Disabilities was established in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly. The day is intended to promote the rights and wellbeing of those with disabilities. Ableism—the use of discriminatory actions and words towards people with disabilities—is a persistent issue all over the world. Reflecting and evaluating our own ableist tendencies and biases, and learning how to make change is one action you can take today. Slide 3:

World Mental Health Day, Friday, October 10.

"World Mental Health Day shines a spotlight on the importance of mental wellbeing. It’s a moment to raise awareness, challenge stigma and advocate for stronger policies and services to support mental health for all.

The day also invites us to share inspiring stories, practical resources and hope. It reminds us all that mental health is just as vital as physical health."
