🎓 Career Readiness in Action!

Today we welcomed Laura Kimball, RPh (Senior Talent Acquisition Partner) and Melissa Manyasa, PharmD (Market Health & Wellness Director) from Walmart to campus for an incredible session on employer-based hiring best practices and interview skills.

One concept that stuck with everyone in the room: the "smile file."

The idea is simple but powerful — keep an ongoing record of your wins, positive feedback, and proud moments as they happen. Then, when it's time to tell your story in an interview, a performance evaluation, or even a scholarship application, you're not scrambling to remember your accomplishments. You already have them documented, ready to share with confidence.

Huge thanks to Laura and Melissa for sharing their expertise and giving our students real, actionable tools to carry into their careers. 👏

Research from the SOPPS community continues to advance discovery across pharmacy, science, and healthcare. 🔬📖

August’s publications highlight real-time electronic drug monitoring for multidrug-resistant TB, advances in chemical biology and material sciences, research on psychoactive medication prescribing after critical illness, and an evolving approach for reducing ICU symptoms through patient-directed sedation.

✨ A special milestone awaits our newest pharmacy students! ✨

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, our P1 Doctor of Pharmacy students will officially receive their white coats, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their pharmacy education. ❤️💊

We're thrilled to welcome Azita Razzaghi, PharmD, RPh, this year's keynote speaker. Dr. Razzaghi brings more than 30 years of experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance, with expertise spanning clinical development, post-marketing safety, regulatory submissions, risk management, and safety operations. She has also practiced across several therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, endocrinology, rare diseases, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Razzaghi earned both her BS and PharmD from Northeastern University, making her return especially meaningful as she shares her experience and words of wisdom with the next generation of pharmacy professionals. 🐾❤️

We can't wait to celebrate this meaningful milestone with our students and their families!

📸 P4 students had a great time reconnecting at Campus Connection Night this past Friday! ❤️

Students enjoyed catching up with classmates, food, games, prizes, and a keychain-making station, along with a special visit from the campus dogs! 🐶

We were also excited to welcome our new Dean, Dr. Chrissa Kioussi, and Visiting Professor involved in Industry, Dr. Amanda Lawton Scott.

And of course, Ryder, Cooper, and Sarge went home with a special gift from the Class of 2027: their very own water bowls! 🐾❤️
