This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the generations of Simmons women whose love, leadership, and commitment to others create lasting legacies. Rooted in a history of empowering women to pursue meaningful lives and careers, Simmons continues to celebrate those who lead through care, courage, and action every day.
Alumna Janet Freedman ’62, ’66LS, P ’89 shared her family’s remarkable 93-year Simmons story, from her mother’s pioneering work in library sciences to her daughter and now granddaughter’s Simmons legacy. This is one of many stories to celebrate today and every day.
To the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and mentors in our alumnae/i network: thank you for the wisdom, strength, and encouragement you bring to those around you. Your impact reaches far beyond your own lives and continues to shape a better future for generations to come.
