At the center of this effort is Fisher’s Childcare Apprenticeship Program (FCAP). Through this initiative, we are partnering with childcare centers across Brockton, New Bedford, and Metro North to create 50 new apprenticeship opportunities.
For more than 20 years, Fisher has prepared early childhood educators through strong community partnerships. This new funding allows us to deepen that impact, especially where access to quality childcare is limited and the need for skilled educators is urgent.
A strong early education workforce supports not only our children, but the strength of our entire economy. 🍎🍏
As Massachusetts and National Apprenticeship Week come to a close, we're announcing a $1.4 million investment in GROW Grants—connecting more than 250 individuals across the state to careers in early childhood education.
💵 Since January 2023, the Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $13.5 million in Massachusetts Registered Apprenticeship GROW grants, of which $4.7 million has supported Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs.
