What does responsible innovation look like in the age of AI?
This summer, students from across Greater Boston and beyond will explore that question at UNAGB’s Summer Institute in Global Leadership: Emerging Technologies, taking place at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
As one of the world’s leading hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship, MIT Sloan is an exciting setting for students to engage with the future of AI, technology, infrastructure, and global problem-solving.

📍July 13–17, 2026

📍Students entering grades 7–10
Throughout the week, students will:
💡Explore emerging technologies and artificial intelligence through a global lens
💡Debate complex ethical and policy questions shaping our future
💡Practice public speaking, negotiation, and collaboration
💡Learn from expert guest speakers
💡Participate in Model UN simulations as student diplomats
This year’s program will examine how innovation can both strengthen and challenge societies, and what role young leaders can play in building a more equitable and connected future.
Whether students are interested in technology, global affairs, policy, entrepreneurship, or debate, this program is designed to help them build confidence, leadership skills, and global awareness alongside peers from diverse backgrounds.
No previous Model UN experience is required.

What does it look like to defend human rights in an increasingly divided world?
This summer, students from across Greater Boston and beyond will explore that question at UNAGB’s Summer Institute for Global Leadership, with a special focus on human rights.
Program details:
📍Hult International Business School, Cambridge, MA (easily accessible by car, T, and Commuter Rail)
📍June 15–18, 2026 (this a 4-day program. We will not meet on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth)
📍9am–3pm
📍Students entering grades 6–12 (middle and high school students participate in separate committee rooms)
This year’s theme is Disability Rights: examining global and local barriers to inclusion, accessibility, and equity for people with disabilities, and how policy, advocacy, and international cooperation can advance meaningful change.
Students will:
✅ Learn about human rights issues and global inequality
✅ Practice public speaking, negotiation, and collaboration
✅ Hear from expert guest speakers
✅ Work with peers from different backgrounds and experiences
✅ Build leadership skills while tackling real-world global issues
Boston provides an ideal setting for these conversations, bringing together students interested in global affairs, law, public policy, diplomacy, and social justice.

This year’s theme: Brain Drain — examining why healthcare workers leave underserved regions, how that impacts communities worldwide, and what the future of healthcare leadership could look like.
Students will:
✅ Engage with guest speakers from medicine, policy, research, and technology
✅ Explore global issues often missing from traditional classrooms
✅ Collaborate with motivated peers passionate about healthcare, science, and leadership
✅ Build friendships and networks that last far beyond the week
