Earlier today we announced "The Pursuit of History for America’s 250th," an exclusive travel series covering the critical points on the long road to becoming a new nation. Held in historic sites and focusing on the events of 250 years ago, the series will visit 15 locations through 2033, concluding 250 years after the Treaty of Paris in 1783, which brought an end to the war and recognition of the new United States.

Last week we held the latest in the series. "The Pursuit of History: The Siege and Liberation of Boston," which was again sold out, drawing people from across the country, with guests flying in from California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Ohio . . .

Today we announced the rest of the series:

Spring 2026: The Road to Independence | Philadelphia, PA
Fall 2026: The British Empire Strikes Back | Trenton, NJ
Spring 2027: The Challenges of Independence | Quincy, MA
Fall 2027: The Burgoyne Campaign | Saratoga, NY
Spring 2028: Brandywine, Valley Forge, and Monmouth | Valley Forge, PA
Fall 2028: Diplomacy and War | Annapolis, MD
Spring 2029: The Naval War | Alexandria, VA
Fall 2029: War in the Interior | Fort Stanwix, Rome, NY
Spring 2030: The British Empire Strikes Back Again | Charleston, SC
Fall 2030: Arnold’s Betrayal | West Point, NY
Spring 2031: The War in the South | Charlotte, NC
Fall 2031: The Decisive Siege | Yorktown, VA
Spring 2032: The Revolutionary War Beyond Our Shores | The Caribbean
Fall 2032: The Plight of the Loyalists | Halifax, Nova Scotia
Spring 2033: A Farewell to Arms | New York, NY

This is the only series we know of that will cover the entire Revolutionary War. In fact, we started in 2024 with the events of 1774 and this year covered 1775 with Lexington and Concord followed by Bunker Hill and the siege of Boston.

These are unlike any other type of history event, focusing on history where it happened and diving deep to understand not just what happened but why it happened.

Of course dates and locations are subject to change, but we're hard at work on Philadelphia for the first half of next year.

We had a fabulous start to our The Pursuit of History Weekend: Siege and Liberation of Boston.

Here’s a quick recap of Day 1:

We began our day at the Bunker Hill Museum where we heard about the Battle of Bunker Hill and key figures like Joseph Warren and John Stark, from author JL Bell, author Sam Forman, and our very own Mary Adams.

After touring the Bunker Hill battlefield we had lunch at the Warren Tavern.

We spent the afternoon looking at the lesser known readouts at Prospect Hill and Roxbury High Fort before heading to Dorchester Heights.

We ended the evening at Union Oyster House.

A fun day indeed and we are getting ready day 2!

Last stop is Dorchester Heights!

On Dorchester Heights, March 1776, Washington’s troops fortified the hills with cannons from Fort Ticonderoga—forcing the British to evacuate Boston.

Next stop, Roxbury High Fort!

Roxbury High Fort played a key role in the Siege of Boston during the Revolutionary War—part of the ring of fortifications that kept the British bottled up in the city.

Our afternoon starts off at Prospect Hill! Prospect Hill in Somerville, MA was the site of one of the first American forts during the Revolutionary War—and where, on January 1, 1776, Washington’s troops raised the Grand Union Flag for the first time.

Lunch at the Warren Tavern!

Warren Tavern—Charlestown’s oldest and most legendary watering hole, serving pints since 1780!

Once a favorite haunt of Paul Revere and George Washington’s men, this historic tavern has seen more than its fair share of revolutionary conversations.
