MCA is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded two grants from the Women's Foundation of Massachusetts to support and expand key initiatives related to both STEAM and foreign language at MCA. With two new grant awards from the WFMA, MCA will be able to continue our coding and makerspace programs into the 2026-2027 school year, as well as expand our foreign language department by hiring a full-time Spanish teacher for the next 3 years. We have been immensely fortunate to partner with the Women's Foundation over the last 6 years, and since 2020, the Women's Foundation of MA has awarded MCA more than $913,000 in multi-year grant funding to support:
⭐ Increased marketing opportunities to grow our admissions year over year
⭐ Expansion of our STEAM program to include Coding, Makerspace, and a career camp with Boston Children's Hospital (B*H)
⭐ Hiring a Lower School math specialist to better support our youngest learners
And new for the next 3 years...
⭐ Growing the Foreign Language program at MCA by hiring a full-time Spanish teacher!
We can't thank the Women's Foundation of Massachusetts enough for being true partners in our mission. Congratulations to all the other grantees for this year's grant cycle!

For the past year, our 6th graders have been creating powerful portrait work inspired once again by contemporary artist Gio Swaby through our partnership with Step Into Art. Through these year-long collaborative projects, MCA 6th graders explore identity, storytelling, and self-expression through art.
Earlier this week, we were fortunate enough to see them exhibit their work for the first time at the Gutman Gallery of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. From their first sketches to these beautiful final pieces, the growth is undeniable.
We’re so grateful for our 18-year partnership with Step Into Art for continuing to bring meaningful, inspiring arts experiences to our students. Thank you to our art teacher, Ms. Taylor, and the entire team at Step Into Art for another amazing year of partnership!

It’s that time of the year again for our 7th and 8th graders - Camp Merrowvista! From the ropes course to the hiking trails, our 7th and 8th graders are stepping outside their comfort zones and discovering just how strong they truly are.
These experiences build confidence, resilience, and trust in themselves and each other. For many of our students, this is a rare opportunity to explore beyond the city and connect with nature in a meaningful way. Moments like these create long-lasting memories and shape who our students become. Thank you to the team at Camp Merrowvista for another amazing year!⛺🌲
