Post show, folks took away many wall stamps from the pavilions. The Anti-Nazi section of the Europe Pavilion was particularly popular. Only the 1945 French Liberation commemorative and the 1964 West German Claus von Stauffenberg commemorative remained (Von Stauffenberg lead the failed assassination attempt on Hi**er at the Wolf's Lair on July 20 1944). Removed were the 1964 West German stamp commemorating Sophie Scholl (Scholl was a prominent member of the White Rose non-violent resistance group at the University of Munich during 1942/3); the 1979 West German stamp commemorating Anne Frank; the 1969 French stamp commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of D-Day; and the 1970 French stamp commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the liberation of the camps. We hope the new owners enjoy them.
