Thank you to everyone who joined us for CMCB Creates, both in person at Allen Hall and online! It was such a joy to experience a wide range of original works written and performed by our faculty and staff.
From the playful opening piece by Manuel García-Baró, performed by students, to Everything is Fine by Jared Field, Sprout by Aditi Malhotra, and Orsino’s Lament by A.J. Gaudreau, the night was full of memorable moments. We closed with Fatherhood (Suite for Solo Bassoon) by Manuel García-Baró, performed by our Executive Director, Lecolion Washington.
We hope you had as much fun as we did and can't wait to see you again next year!

We were so excited to join ProjectSTEP at their Step Into Grace event, where our Executive Director Lecolion Washington was honored as the William Moyer Champion of Change!
Honoring the legacy of William Moyer, this award celebrates leaders who expand access and opportunity in the arts. Lecolion shared his journey as a young Black bassoonist and his commitment to making sure every young person can find their place in music—earning a standing ovation and closing the night with a surprise performance alongside Ian Saunders.
