Today's groundbreaking at Fox Hill Elementary School in Burlington marked the beginning of a 2-year construction process that when complete will support the needs of over 300 students in grades K-5. We look forward to continuing to watch this project progress.

Presented in partnership with Treasurer Deb Goldberg, the office of the Inspector General, and the City of Worcester, yesterday, we hosted this year's Story of a Building seminar. The seminar highlighted the work needed to launch a school building process, opportunities that districts and their design teams can implement to involve students in the construction process, the importance of capital planning in upgrading school facilities, and offered a student lead tour of the facility.

The Massachusetts School Building Authority was thrilled to join Deb Goldberg at the topping off ceremony, at the Squantum Elementary School. The school is undergoing an addition/ renovation to the facility which will result in over 79,000 sqft of new learning space and serve over 380 students in grades K-5.

From Lynn to Berkley, the Massachusetts School Building Authority had lots to celebrate today. Executive Director Mary Pichetti and CEO Jim MacDonald joined Deb Goldberg for a topping off ceremony at the Pickering Middle School. Meanwhile, Deputy Executive Director Jennifer Gonzalez celebrated the groundbreaking at Berkley Community School. Congratulations to both districts!

The Massachusetts School Building Authority was pleased to join the Nauset Regional High School community for a ribbon cutting & community opening on Saturday, marking the completion of the project. As one of only two schools in the country to be located within a National Park, the new Nauset offers its students access to 21st century learning spaces while connecting students to the outdoors. Congratulations!

Today, MSBA staff members hosted a booth at the 10th Annual MA Girls in Trades Western Conference & Career Fair at the William J. Dean Tech High School in Holyoke. The MSBA supports career & technical education programs that encourage opportunities in construction for women.
