The MS in Medical Sciences (MAMS) program is one of the oldest and most successful special Master’s programs in the United States.

The MS in Medical Sciences degree at Boston University School of Medicine is a special Master's program that aims to improve the competitiveness of our students for medical school. Since it began in 1985, MAMS has selectively identified students who are both driven and dedicated to pursuing a career in medicine. The program has been largely successful in helping over 2,000 students gain admission

In August, 2022, the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine introduced PISCEs (Principles Integrating Science, Clinical Medicine and Equity) as a cornerstone of the M1 and M2 curriculum. Students learn from and with each other in Team Based Learning and other application sessions.

M**S prepares students well for this new curriculum! Here, Boston College grads Mimi (M**S 2021) and Christian (M**S 2022) relax after a morning of case based discussions.

M**S 2022 grad Christina Krucylak, now an M1 at Wash U School of Medicine, recently shared some thoughts about her M**S experience:

"I consider myself incredibly lucky to have such a solid foundation and am getting even more out of my courses than I would have thought! It is really cool to see that my M**S coursework got me to where I am today and is continuing to advance my education.

None of my success would have been possible without the second chance you and M**S gave me, and I am forever grateful for that. Thank you so much for everything, and I look forward to staying in touch!"
