An Evening with Poet Martín Espada
Award-winning author and poet Martín Espada has been referred to as “the Pablo Neruda of North American authors” by author Sandra Cisneros. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he has published almost twenty books as a poet, editor, essayist and translator. His poetry collections include Vivas to Those Who Have Failed (2016), The Trouble Ball (2011) and Pulitzer Prize finalist The Republic of Poetry (2006).
