Latinos For Education

Latinos for Education is a national nonprofit & movement builder uniting Latino communities to transform education policy & practice.

We’re building Visión 2050, a vision for education shaped by Latino students, families, educators, and communities. Latinos for Education is the first Latino founded and led national organization solely dedicated to building a strong human capital pipeline of Latino leaders and advocates in the education sector. Our work will be centered on building an ecosystem of Latino leaders within and outside of education who will have a voice, leadership roles and a community of peers who are invested in ensuring educational equity is achieved for Latino students and families. Ultimately, we aspire to achieve a vision of prosperity for Latino families in the US through a quality education.

Latino families and educators have spent generations fighting for better educational opportunities. But too often, their voices are still missing from the decisions that shape our schools.

As Latino Heritage Month comes to a close, our CEO and Founder, Amanda Fernandez, reflects on that history and how, through Visión 2050, we're working to build a future of education shaped by Latino communities: https://hubs.la/Q04BczWZ0

Part of our team, including our CEO and Founder, Amanda Fernandez, had a wonderful time at El Mundo Boston’s Hispanic Heritage Breakfast yesterday! It was great to celebrate Latino heritage, connect with community leaders, and have some of our alumni join us.

It was especially exciting to see our Visión 2050 video on the big screens, reaching hundreds of attendees, including Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll. Thank you, El Mundo Boston, for bringing our community together.
