Let's Go Achilles! For anyone looking to walk, run or roll come on out with the best team in New England!
Meet Mika, one of our incredible athletes making the trip from Achilles International Boston to the Big Apple to take on the Achilles Hope & Possibility® 4M Presented by TD via New York Road Runners (NYRR)
Totally blind since birth, Mika struggled to find an exercise program that really fit his needs as an adaptive athlete. After trying activities like skiing and sailing over the years, he found consistency and connection through Achilles. “I've really enjoyed getting to know people in the community, getting the time outdoors and being able to consistently exercise,” he says. “Achilles has given me the chance to stay active all year long.”
Why Hope & Possibility? “It sounded like a fun opportunity to race in New York—and it’s a little longer than the 5Ks I’ve done near Boston, so I'm excited for the chance to push myself," he says.
Join us in cheering on Mika in the comments below and in Central Park on June 29!
