Congratulations to Begley Scholars Noel Fernandez '27 and Harris Phifer '27, examining regional poverty and neurological vulnerability in high school athletes; Shields Innovation Scholar Josh Fligor '27, investigating heart rate variability and tinnitus outcome measures; and Fitzpatrick Community Impact Award recipients Charlie Lubrano '27, Santi Puig '27, and Enzo Santos '27, advancing sustainability at BC High, and Declan Tessier '27, building robotics to test for PFAS in the water supply — juniors following their curiosity into research, putting theory into practice, and meeting real needs in their communities.

This week, 10 members of our community traveled to the Flathead Reservation in northwestern Montana for the McNeice Center for Ignatian Identity & Formation’s first immersion experience in the region. Fr. Victor Cancino, SJ, welcomed our group to St. Ignatius Mission, which is located on a sacred landscape that serves as a “border land”—a place that invites us to reconsider this country and our connection to one another.

In the spirit of Ignatian formation, our students came not with answers but with humility, ready to learn from and be in relationship with the people, history, spirituality, culture, and land that shape this community. They’ll return with a deeper sense of who they’re called to be—men for and with others, attentive to God’s presence in all things.

Introducing your 2026-27 House Leadership! Our 12 Houses are where formation happens day to day—in faith, in service, and in looking out for one another. These Class of 2027 Captains and Vice Captains help lead that work, setting an example of what it means to be Men for and with Others. Congratulations to all of them!

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We remember their courage, their service, and their legacy.
