The Moot Court Honor Board has two main objectives: (1) to publish the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy twice each year; and (2) to organize and run the four annual intra-scholastic trial and appellate competitions at the law school.

Invitation to Attend the Final Round of the McLaughlin Competition!

The Walter H. McLaughlin Competition is open to second-year students who have demonstrated supreme appellate advocacy skills, as each competitor was named either the Best or Distinguished Oral Advocate in their respective Legal Practice Skills’ section. Individual competitors prepare oral arguments from the appellate briefs and a fact pattern developed by the Moot Court Honor Board.

As this competition comes to its end, the Moot Court Honor Board would like to invite all faculty and students to attend the Final Round! Arguing in the Finals this year is Catherine Cardon, for Petitioner, and Katherine Chenail, for Respondent. Due to the particulars of our virtual semester, the Final Round will be livestreamed through Zoom. Below is the information to join the Zoom livestream.
