Congratulations, Brooke!
Congratulations to PCG’s Brooke Bell, who received the Paula Gulak Impact on Community Award last month at Rvatech/’s Margaret Lyn McDermid Awards!
This recognition is given to a woman who has had a significant impact on her community in the areas of growth, enhancement, education, and promotion of technology within or outside of her organization. In addition to the technology project work she does on PCG’s Education team to help improve student outcomes, Brooke mentors local high school students at Henrico County Public Schools' Center for Information Technology and is a member of the Center for Information Technology Advisory Board at Deep Run High School.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Darren Kennedy, a Senior Consultant and Subject Matter Expert on School Leadership at PCG as well as an experienced teacher, assistant principal, principal, and leadership coach. Critical work is underway in one of the nation's largest and most diverse districts where educators are having Courageous Conversations that lead to systemic equity transformation. Since 2018, PCG has had the opportunity to work with Broward County Public Schools to help build the capacity of educators, administrators, and other district staff to engage in meaningful, productive discussions about race, diversity and tolerance. Here's a great article from District Administration that explores the framework Superintendent Robert Runcie is using to drive systemic change throughout his district.
