Laura Meilman is a Cambridge based cartoonist, painter, and teacher. She holds a B.A. in Painting from Earlham College and an MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies.Ā
She brings humor and heart to her memoir comics which often focus on relationships and nonmonogamy, mental health, finding oneself, and puns (canāt forget the puns!).
Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe and The Atlantic, including her acclaimed series of drawings of Bostonās subway system, āProject T-scapesā.
āI think of my classes as a space for people to come together and experiment with different techniques. The world of comics is a community and I approach my classes the same way.Ā I also genuinely think that having fun is an important part of cartooning, and I love when I am able to bring in humor and lightheartedness to the classā
