SUMUN is an extra-curricular club in which students roleplay delegates and simulate UN committees similar to the United Nations.

This activity takes place at MUN conferences. SUMUN is an award-winning team of politically-savvy students who attend Model United Nations conferences. Our team consists of students from culturally-diverse backgrounds, which creates an environment conducive to political awareness. New members can expect to gain higher political proficiency, enhanced public speaking skills, confidence in debating, and knowledge in resolution writing.

Suffolk Model United Nations completely and unequivocally condemns the horrid violent acts that have occurred against the Asian American community across the country. The United Nations prides itself in its inclusion of all people. Such violent acts against the Asian community goes against all of the United Nations beliefs as well as Suffolk’s beliefs. There is no place in this world for discrimination and violence.
