During the 2025–2026 school year, Nautilus Brass was named an NEC Honors Ensemble. This designation has only been given to two other brass ensembles in the past 20 years. As musicians, they aspire to showcase the many different settings of brass in chamber music. They are coached by Michael Dobrinski, and their primary teachers are Tom Siders, Jason Snider, Steve Lange, and Mike Roylance.

That’s a wrap on summer in NEC's Expanded Education Department! Seven programs ran beginning in June, with last week’s Summer Vocal Institute and Summer Chamber Music Young Artist Program marking the close of the season. 🎶
