Irene Li co-founded Mei Mei with her two older siblings in 2012, and since 2018 she has been at the helm with the help of our awesome team. “Mei Mei” (pronounced may-may) means little sister in Chinese. Mei Mei food is an expression of the Li sibling’s favorite childhood eating experiences as Chinese-American kids growing up in Boston. Mei Mei uses meat that is pasture-raised, humanely slaughtered

and sourced from the Northeast. We also work with small, independent family farms and producers and are able to source 70% of produce from the Northeast across the year. We are also an “Open Book” company, meaning we share our financial information with all staff, empowering them to think and act like managers regardless of their role or title.

Celebrating the joy of learning something new 🥟✨ Most people come to dumpling class saying they’ve never folded a dumpling before. An hour later, they’re debating which folds look the best, and are ready to host their own dumpling making party at home!
