Good Friday, Boston family! Through your fundraising efforts, the PTA was able to contribute to the outdoor classroom recently and we wanted to take a moment to highlight these new additions! This space now has new swings, benches and a canopy to provide shade for those enjoying the space.

It is SO exciting to contribute to this vision and help make it a reality! But, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you all. The Boston family has been crucial in putting this together and it is great to see that collaboration and community can still build something great! So, thank you all for your contributions!

There is still more to be done so stay tuned! Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Good Saturday, Boston families! There have been questions about the move from a traditional PE class to the new Gardening Intelligences class. We are collaborating with the teacher, Ms. Hutchins, to inform parents about the new course.

We hope that this post explains the exciting new class!

Per Ms. Hutchins:

Gardening Intelligences (Vibrant Learning) class will encompass PE (movement), Social-Emotional (inter/intra-personal), and the Nature piece from the 8 forms of intelligence. PE will be a structured gross motor class that develops true mastery of health and movement standards. Students will gain SEL knowledge both in the gym and the classroom through collaborative peer work, collaboration with Ms. Gregory and Ms. King, and project based learning experiences. Nature will be incorporated and bridged into movement opportunities by flipping the standard classroom setting to the outdoors for the purpose of further science exploration and agriculture.
