Last year we piloted a Choose Your Own Adventure program alongside our co-curricular series. Students were able to explore a collection of public offerings around Boston and BU, including museums, concerts, guest lectures, conferences, and more, at a time that best fit their schedules.

We are glad to be offering our CYOA options again this year, and encourage our students to get off campus and soak up all that Boston has to offer!

You never know what a Kilachand class will involve, whether it's creating a semester-long visual collage, participating in a human knot exercise, or taking a class field trip to meet with the owner of a romance bookstore.

First-year seminars are a student favorite and give students the chance to explore important contemporary themes and problems in various fields. We encourage our students to take seminars based on interests or curiosities outside of their major, to help expand their ability to participate in the convergent research we take pride in at Boston University.

What better way to celebrate the International Day of Friendship than to look back at our Spring community events!

Last semester, our student leaders hosted so many fun events to relax and spend time with friends, including merch drops at Chocolate Chat, Super Bowl Watch Party, Paint & Sip, Craft Night, and our annual Dodgeball Tournament and Red Sox game.

Each semester, our student leaders host an array of community events - a time to put away the books and enjoy a fun activity with your friends. In the fall, traditional events include a pumpkin painting contest, cookie decorating, and dogs!

Alexia Nastasia (CAS, Pardee'27) received summer UROP funding to help with Keystone Project research. This summer, Alexia is studying comparative urban planning for community resilience in St. Louis, MO, and Bucharest, Romania.

Our students aren't the only ones doing awesome things. Associate Director Emily Ryan is a leader in the Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition (CELT) Initiative, which aims to accelerate an equitable clean energy transition in Massachusetts and unify public resources and academic research expertise for climate resilience and workforce development.

Boston University students are on the front lines of Massachusetts' energy transition, supporting real clean energy work through the Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition (CELT) Initiative. And they're armed with powerful new tools: the CELT Energy Transition Atlas and Massachusetts Energy Explorer, platforms that centralize years of scattered data and make it actionable for communities across the Commonwealth.

Developed by Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability, these tools represent what happens when students, faculty, and public agencies collaborate to solve climate challenges. As one student noted, "We have an unparalleled window into the state's clean energy future, and we're learning how to drive it forward."
