Edify in Rwanda recently celebrated the graduation of Core Schools* Cohort 3 during the Annual Proprietors’ Conference. Centered on the theme “A Legacy of Transformation, A Future of Impact,” this monumental milestone honored 77 schools from Kigali and the Eastern Province, equipping local leaders to continue driving sustainable, Christ-centered growth across their communities.

We are so grateful to walk with these 77 schools in close relationship and encourage one another in business, pedagogy, and biblical teachings. We look forward to seeing the fruits of this cohort grow and mature as each school continues improving and expanding Christ-centered education in Rwanda.

*FAQ: What are Core Schools? The Core Program is an intensive, 3-year program that includes a trailing 10% of active schools of all countries that have come out of pilot. These schools receive more interaction and involvement with Edify and are evaluated annually using surveys and other tools. Edify hopes to see accelerated change and long-lasting transformation in Core Schools.

When girls receive an education, lives and communities are transformed. As Edify's Senior Director of Edification and Philanthropy, Jeremy Rodgers, puts it, the goal is simple: help every girl "flourish the way God intended."

In partnership with Edify and local training partners, a school leader in Peru has learned how to further integrate Christ-centered values into their school. "Today, we promote the importance of prayer, of speaking about a real and living God in our classrooms, and of acting with love toward others. These are simple teachings, yet deeply transformative for our students. We seek for the teacher not to be merely someone who imparts knowledge, but a close guide who supports the holistic formation of each student."

The school leader continues, "I remember when we attended an event organized by [Edify]; we received a tool called 'El Proclamador,' which allowed us to listen to and understand the Word of God in a clearer and more in-depth way. Before that, the teaching of Christian values was limited to the religion class; it was not something integrated into the daily life of the school. However, when we began using this tool in the classroom, we saw great acceptance from both students and teachers. Little by little, it stopped being an occasional resource and became part of our curriculum and our daily routine in the classroom. We started incorporating times of prayer during recess and in class, and we have seen how many students are strengthening their relationship with God... We have come to understand that when we give God first place, He takes care of putting everything else in order."

Mindsets and action steps like these help build a foundation for Christ-centered transformation to flourish and multiply. We praise God for the transformative work He is bringing to Peru!🇵🇪

Staff Spotlight⭐ Meet Arcky, our Country Director in Panama! 🇵🇦

Arcky joined Edify in 2020 after praying for an opportunity to use her professional experience to serve God beyond the traditional church setting. What began as a feasibility study quickly became a clear calling to serve Christian schools and leaders across Panama.

Today, Arcky finds her greatest joy in building relationships and walking alongside school owners, leaders, and teachers—listening, encouraging, and watching small steps create true transformation. As we step into the next fiscal year, she is excited to see growth while keeping the Christ-centered DNA of our mission at the heart of it all.

Reflecting on her journey, Arcky uses one word to describe how God is impacting her heart through her work: Trust. God has been teaching her to trust His timing, His people, and His purposes beyond what she can see.

Fun Fact: Arcky started her career as a hotel receptionist and still carries that heart for hospitality into her work today, creating welcoming connections wherever she goes (though her "office" is now a school classroom rather than a hotel lobby!).

When she needs to recharge, you’ll find her in the fresh mountain air and waterfalls of Altos del María with her family. 🏔️🌿

We are so grateful for Arcky’s leadership, heart for service, and dedication to seeing schools and communities flourish across Panama! ✨

God is doing transformative work in Panama! 🙌

Did you know there are now over 380 Discipleship Clubs active in local schools partnered with Edify? 🇵🇦✨

Through Discipleship Clubs, students are taking ownership to deepen their faith. Many of these clubs are student- and teacher-led. By learning about the love of Jesus, students are discovering their true identity in Christ and their God-given potential. We give all the glory to God for opening doors, moving in the hearts of students, and equipping local leaders and educators to make a lasting impact.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!" Psalm 115:1 (ESV).
