Alumni Spotlight: Sam and Luke Walker
Brothers Luke ’11 and Sam ’09 turned a simple frustration into something bigger.
They loved craft beer, but not how it made them feel. So they created their own solution: kombucha that delivers the flavor they wanted, without the downside.
What started as an idea is now Walker Brothers Kombucha, a 20,000 square foot brewery, a growing team, and plans to open a taproom in Nashville this year.
Reflecting on their time at BTA, they shared: “Boston Trinity created a culture and space that celebrates diversity, where students of racial, ethnic, and economic differences can thrive as friends and peers.”
From classmates to co-founders, their story is a reminder of what can grow from the right foundation.
On Giving Day, Tuesday, April 28, your support helps more students flourish in their own way.

✨ Alumni Spotlight: Isabella Carrasquillo ’10✨
Isabella is living out the future she once imagined.
After Boston Trinity Academy, she found her path in human services through a BTA partnership with the Women’s Lunch Place. That experience shaped her desire to support others and led to her work today at Beacon Communities.
But what matters most to her is family.
Alongside her husband, Isabella is raising a blended family of six children. “Motherhood is one of my most significant and fulfilling accomplishments,” she shares.
“Boston Trinity Academy helped me to flourish by providing me with the essential tools to succeed in the world.”
This is what flourishing looks like.
On Giving Day, Tuesday, April 28, you can help more students build lives like Isabella’s.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Yaritza Gomez Lazarus ’12 🌟
From BTA student to veterinarian, Yaritza has built a life full of growth, purpose, and new beginnings.
In the past two years, she’s celebrated both a new home and a new marriage - gaining two wonderful teenage daughters along the way. Today, she’s a practicing veterinarian in Dracut, Massachusetts, continuing to expand her skills while also giving back by teaching middle school students about veterinary medicine.
She also loves to travel and has visited Portugal, Belize, Costa Rica, and Italy in recent years.
When asked how BTA shaped her journey, Yaritza shared:
“BTA provided me with mentorship that connected me to my first job in the medical field at Boston Children’s. That experience, along with academic support from teachers like Mrs. Fulco, opened the door to my career in medicine.”
Stories like Y’s are made possible through mentorship, opportunity, and community.
As Giving Days approach, we’re proud to celebrate alumni like Yaritza 💚💛
