It was our pleasure to welcome two outstanding leaders from Chick-Fil-A to our HF 150 Customer Experience class recently!

Students heard from Tristen Cuartas, Senior Director of Operations, Chick-fil-A Boston Delivery, and Matthew DeMichele-Rigoni, Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Copley Square, Chick-fil-A Boston Delivery, and Boston Logan Airport Terminal E, as they shared their insights on customer experience and building a people-first culture.

Carol Gao, a graduate student in the School of Hospitality Administration, is spending her summer with Absolute Sport, a hospitality company providing accommodations and ticket services for fans attending FIFA World Cup matches in Boston.

Carol found this internship through the Marriott Career Center at SHA, and it has shown her a different side of hospitality: event planning. Through her role, she’s also been able to flex her love of connecting with people by meeting fans from around the world and building relationships across cultures.

Congratulations to Professor Leora Halpern Lanz on her promotion to Professor of the Practice! 🎉

Since joining SHA in 2015, Professor Lanz has brought decades of hospitality marketing experience into the classroom, inspiring students through courses like Digital Marketing for Hospitality and Experiential Marketing.

We’re proud to celebrate this well-deserved milestone and the impact she continues to make on our students and the hospitality industry.
