Fourteen students from the maintenance technician program at Franklin Cummings Tech recently completed a volunteer project at a Veterans Center in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, under the leadership of Gray Wilder and Rannie McCall and in partnership with Rebuilding Together Boston (). The students applied the hands-on skills they’ve learned in the classroom to help finish and spruce up the facility, creating a more welcoming space. The project provided valuable real-world experience for the students while giving back to those who have served the community. It was truly a win-win effort that combined workforce training, teamwork, and community support.
