Incorporate spaced practice by giving students a problem or prompt to work on at the end of class, but make sure that it is not directly related to that day's content - rather, it should require information or skills covered a couple weeks ago.

It is important to view the challenge as an opportunity for you, and others, to learn. Chueng, Ganote, & Souza (2016) suggest the following ACTION steps to inquire about intent, reduce tension, explore impact, and offer a positive direction.
