A heartfelt thank you to Neighborhood Villages for collaborating with Countdown to Kindergarten on this past weekend’s “For Parents, By Parents” Conference! 💛

Families enjoyed an informative panel discussion, a variety of engaging workshops, and opportunities to prioritize self-care and well-being.

Our incredible parent leaders co-designed and brought this event to life, demonstrating the power of parent leadership, collaboration, and community. We look forward to their continued leadership and partnership throughout the upcoming school year!

We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, workshop facilitators, childcare staff, table vendors, and everyone who contributed in-kind donations to make this event a success.

This is fantastic!

This month JPNDC welcomed First Teacher, a parent-led early learning community founded in Roxbury in 2013. More than 300 families take part in First Teacher’s workshops, playdates, and book clubs each year.

JPNDC is proud to add the First Teacher name, its team, its programs, and its parent leadership. As part of JPNDC, First Teacher gains a lasting home and their families gain access to JPNDC’s network of licensed home-based early educators for childcare placement, with additional services such as financial coaching, career counseling, credit building support, small business development, and affordable housing navigation support.

To all incoming BPS and Boston Pre-k Kindergarteners, today is the Citywide celebration! The Countdown to Kindergarten team and the Boston Children's Museum staff are ready for you! This is our 28th year of hosting this event together! So proud of this partnership. 💛

You can find us at the Boston Children’s Museum. Party starts sharply at 4:30 and ends at 7:30 pm. Thank you to all of our partners Nickelodeon, Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts, Boston Public Schools, Vital Village Network, Boston Public Library,The Boston Foundation, City of Boston and so many volunteers that help to make this event amazing every year!!!
