to the moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.
Not only do our students remember building the school, mixing concrete, and painting walls, but the moments in between like the laughter shared at recess and the connections made with the community members.
There's still time to sign up for one of our summer service trips! Click the link in our bio for more information.

from Honduras 🇭🇳 Have a great weekend!

In a small classroom in Honduras, a young girl is redefining what it means to be a reader 📖
She was born with a condition that makes her fingers very small, making it nearly impossible to hold a book on her own. But she refuses to let that be the end of her story.
Each day, her father sits beside her, gently holding the pages as they read together. Page by page, she’s learning to read and showing her classmates what determination truly looks like.
Every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of reading.

: Liv Turning creativity into impact 🎨🌎
Giving back has always been part of Liv and her family’s story. After years of fundraising and even visiting Guatemala, she knew she wanted to return and make an impact of her own.
This time, she used her art to get there. Through raffles and custom pieces, Liv turned her creativity into a powerful fundraising tool.
After the trip, she created a painting inspired by a real moment during a home visit—a mother carrying her child, capturing strength, routine, and joy.

Pure joy in motion. This is what your support makes possible.
In the Philippines, children are running, laughing, playing, and stepping into a space built just for them. A playground isn’t just a place to play; it’s where confidence grows, friendships form, and a love for learning begins.

: From February 2020 to April 2026, the journey comes full circle.
Through the partnership between Ron Burton Training Village and School the World, the Flor de Anis community in Panama has become more than just a place on a map, it’s a community rooted in connection, growth, and lasting impact.
Six years ago, students first arrived with a shared purpose. This past April, they returned—reconnecting with the community, building alongside them, and witnessing the impact of education over time.

: From the board meeting to the mountains of Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, this is what impact looks like.
During our recent board meeting in Panama, our board members and staff dove into the next phase of our Moonshot 2030 vision.
But the real perspective shift happened outside the meeting room and during book deliveries.
Our staff and board members met students who walk over two hours each way to get to school. We heard from a passionate principal with a clear vision: bring early education closer to home so young learners don’t have to make that journey.
A highlight for everyone was watching our Regional Director of Service and Special Projects, Ana read aloud as students gathered in to listen. Parents even joined the read a loud, picking up books and reading alongside them.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the moms who pass on the power of education. 🌎📚
For Karen Crowley and her daughters—Shea, Robyn, and Grace, education was never just a lesson, it was a way of life. From classrooms to communities across the U.S. and Central America, Karen led by example, showing her girls that learning has the power to shape futures.
What started as shared experiences grew into something deeper, each daughter carrying those values forward in her own way, building connections, widening circles, and seeing firsthand what happens when education becomes a shared priority.
