I almost got rid of the flisat table this week. I was thinking we never use it, or more I never set it up with activities anymore.

But as if he knew, my older son asked if I would put water in it for him. And he played and played. With just water.

And he's also been playing cars in the mulch outside a LOT.

And yesterday we randomly drew a hopscotch and have just been enjoying moving our bodies with chalk to guide us! This morning we're back out in the mulch and expanding our hopping paths.

So yeah I think maybe my elaborate sensory setup phase has ended.

Hopefully this can be the start of our simplicity era. I would love if my kids learn to enjoy the sensory experience of just being.

Water. Mulch. Morning air. Hopping. Digging. Moving.

They're so dirty you can't see the initial for who they belong to until you wash them.

Then you can make the sound for the letter and figure it out!

I was going to have him hang them on a line to dry but there was too much excitement for a setup like that.

Frog and Toad decided to move in together at a big house with a private pool where embarrassing swimwear is accepted and the oven always has fresh cookies baking.

"Frog," asked Toad, "are we living happily ever after?"
"I think we might be!" said Frog.

We had a Mouse Cookie Birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun!!
