Welcome Suffolk University’s one and only Bollywood fusion dance team — Fusion Dhamaka. Founded in 2018, Fusion Dhamaka has grown tremendously over the years, bringing energy, creativity, and culture to the stage. Known for blending traditional Bollywood styles with modern dance influences, the team has become a vibrant presence on campus. From hosting lively events like Holi Dhamaka to Fusion Fest, they continue to create unforgettable experiences for the Suffolk community.
Get ready for a performance full of passion, rhythm, and celebration — this is Fusion Dhamaka!

Soulfully Versed is Suffolk University’s very own all-inclusive a ca****la group. Founded in 2016, the group performs original student-made arrangements that showcase their creativity and vocal talent. Known for bringing rhythm, passion, and a whole lot of soul to both the Suffolk campus and the City of Boston.

Francisca Baduya is a Broadcast Journalism major and student reporter for NECN. She’s very passionate about highlighting under-represented communities and cultures in the media and loves being active on campus - modeling for the CSN fashion show, singing with Soulfully Versed, and dancing in the Boston University Filipino Student Association’s annual cultural showcase, where she learned the choreography her and Liam will be performing at Dawn of an Eraaa.

Liam Bautista is a Marketing and Management double major better known as . When he’s not in class or on the grind at the gym, he’s capturing Suffolk University. You’ve probably seen him at events like the A Boogie concert, different cultural performances or even taking photos at the AAA Lunar new year festival! The only thing he loves more than photography is his filipino culture and he’s excited to represent!

The couple has been together since November 2024, and they’re very excited to share their Filipino culture with the Suffolk community and perform Sayaw sa Payong!”

GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO BOSTON-BASED VIETNAMESE DRAG QUEEN… CANDANCE PERSUASIAN! ☀️☀️☀️

WHO is Candace Persuasian you ask? 🤔💭
Candace Persuasian is a Trans and Vietnamese showgirl who has been deeply involved in q***r advocacy through different community organizations

She has received the 2022 Trans Excellence Award from the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition and was also featured in Beyoncé’s Renaissance Film after a viral moment holding a “Trans is Beautiful” sign garnering international attention from PinkNews, Billboard and Gaytimes.

Prepare to be STUNNED when Candace Persuasian steals the stage this Tuesday! 🤩🤩

GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO OUR HEADLINER, INDO-AMERICAN R&B RECORDING ARTIST… ALMIRA ZAKY! ☀️☀️☀️

WHO is Almira Zaky you ask? 🤔💭
With commanding vocals, emotionally rich songwriting, and a genre-blending sound, Almira Zaky merges Western R&B with subtle Indonesian influence. Raised in Virginia and the greater DMV region, her music reflects a multicultural perspective on love, growth, resilience, and identity. Almira Zaky represents a new generation of global R&B - amplifying Southeast Asian voices while carving a lane entirely her own.

Almira gained national recognition as a contestant on NBC’s American Song Contest in 2022 and has since performed on major stages including Pharrell Williams’ Something in the First Water festival, opening for Grammy-winning Lola Young, and internationally for Miss Universe Indonesia. In 2025, she became the first Indonesian featured on Kai Cenat’s record-breaking “Mafiathon 3l” Twitch livestream. Beyond music, Almira is committed to impact and representation. She delivered a TEDx Talk at John’s Hopkins University and has led youth songwriting workshops with Timbaland’s Beatclub.
