To all of you whom I had in classes, lead on field trips, advised, or just interacted with in the halls; I'd like to thank you for making the past 11 years at UMASS-BOSTON a special experience. You are the reason I do what I do and while leaving UMASS-BOSTON was a difficult decision, I'm headed to someplace where I feel I can have as big, if not bigger impact.

For those of you haven't heard, Dr Gontz will be leaving UMassBoston in August. He will be moving to San Diego, CA where he will become the Chair of the Department of Geological Sciences for the San Diego State University.

As some of you have heard, Dr Gontz will be leaving us at the end of the summer. He will take over as the Department Chair for the San Diego State University Department of Geological Science.
