Black Media is a daylong symposium highlighting Black media professionals, the innovative work that they do, the stories they tell, and the challenges they still face in the journalism, PR, marketing, advertising, and film industries.

The COM First Gen Student social is a week away! Being a first-generation student comes with blessings and challenges. Join COM DEI for its first Building COMmunity event where we celebrate our first-generation students and hold space to talk about their struggles. You will also have an opportunity to learn about BU's first-generation office, The Newbury Center, and meet COM's Terrier 1sts mentors.

The event will be on Wednesday, October 26 at 5pm in COM 209 - don't miss it!

Our second Cinematheque event of the semester is this Friday at 4:30pm in COM 101! We'll be screening the Game of Thrones episode "Battle of the Bastards," followed by a Q&A with cinematographer Fabian Wagner!
