Members of our OT department proudly represented the profession at AOTA’s Annual Hill Day in Washington, DC 🇺🇸.
.
Together, we met with legislators to advocate for increased access to occupational therapy through home health services, expanded awareness of our role in mental health, critical funding for K-12 schools, and the extension of telehealth waivers.
.
We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight the value of OT and the impact our work has across communities and care settings.

Join us next Tuesday, April 8 for the next installment of our Slice of Learning professional development series! Erin Leary, IHP PP-OTD alum , will present on the unique role Occupational Therapy has in supporting children in foster care.

PP-OTD alum Nicole Moran received a Mass General Brigham Pillars of Excellence Award in the category “Commitment to an Exceptional Patient Experience.” This award recognized her PP-OTD Innovation Project, a quality improvement initiative to increase participation in meaningful activities at end-of-life in the Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting at Spaulding Hospital Cambridge.
