What is the Science of Reading (SOR) and what does it have to do with Black children? Many school districts, including Boston Public Schools, have received millions of dollars to implement the Science of Reading. Black families and teachers have long been concerned with the reading development of Black children and how to make sure they are learning to read and living productive literacy lives. How can the SOR address the concerns of educators and families?

Join the Black Educators’ Alliance of Massachusetts (BEAM) on November 16, 6:00 p.m. (online) for a robust discussion about the Science of Reading and the importance of teaching Black children how to read led by Monique Harris. Register: https://bit.ly/moniqueharrissor
