Episode 28 - No Highlight Reel, No Pressure - Just Real Life
Have you ever felt like you’re not enough… and somehow too much at the same time?
If you grew up in survival mode, self-worth can feel like something you have to earn instead of something you’re allowed to have.
You question whether you’re worthy of love, whether you give too much, or whether you’re asking for too much just by existing.
This raw moment from Episode 27 of The Survivors Chair podcast with Sandra Aussem is a reminder that you have always been worthy❤️

What if the reason you don’t want to do what you used to do is because you’re outgrowing survival mode?
My entire life I ran on adrenaline and now I keep asking myself how the heck did I do everything?🤷♀️
The bigger question is why don’t I want to do any of it anymore?
I thought life stresses and a cancer diagnosis had left me unmotivated, lazy, and stuck and these ways would become my new norm.
But I was wrong, the reality is I’m not lazy, I’m just not operating in survival mode anymore.
What a concept…❤️

So many of us know what it feels like to sit in a doctor’s office with a list of symptoms and concerns hoping someone will listen.
When Theresa Mazzuco stepped in to be her fathers caretaker and to run his business after his heart attack, stress and grief slowly showed up in her body and when she went searching for answers, she was dismissed.
In this clip, she shares the moment a doctor labeled her symptoms “idiopathic” and threw her list of questions and concerns in the trash.
When in reality, her symptoms were not coming out of nowhere her body was responding to trauma, underlying grief, stress, and the emotional weight she had been carrying for too long.
