I am so lucky to work with such wonderful families!
Parents come to me seeking not only extra help for their child, but also for a way to increase their child’s confidence, motivation, and self-esteem.
This change doesn’t happen overnight, but the students who stick with me are more excited to learn, more engaged in lessons, and more confident in school. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing successful students, and hearing about their in-school progress from their parents and teachers!

Big changes are coming this summer, starting with my NAME!
After a long break from tutoring to plan my wedding this spring, I can't wait to start my summer sessions off strong as Nicole Avtgis. This summer will be the busiest yet, with 9 amazing clients ranging from kindergarten to 7th grade. I'm so excited to watch these kiddos learn and grow!

Summer is the perfect time to read for fun outside. ☀️

Learning to read is just the beginning! As a child develops early literacy skills, they unlock the door to new interests, adventures, and possibilities they never knew existed. It’s the foundation for all things academic.
There’s nothing more important than nurturing this love of reading in little learners to ensure their reading success continues through their academic lives.

Sight Word Pizza is a super fun way to review sight words, not to mention a favorite amongst our little learners. We are in the process of making this savory game available for our virtual learners! Bon Appetit!

February is for everything Valentine!

Nonsense Word Cards are a great way to introduce basic word skills with your little learner. Reading unfamiliar words gets them to practice decoding beginning, middle, and ends of words. It’s also a bonus that kiddos get such a kick out of the made-up words.

Among all the amazing winter books, The Snowy Day is by far my favorite!
You can tie it in to almost any literacy lesson for little learners, including fluency, sight words, phonics, and comprehension. Not to mention, kiddos get SO excited when they see this on the screen at the beginning of a lesson.
